BEING TECH SAVVY
– CTRL + ALT + DELETE
Beyond
the Maslow’s Hierarchy of psychology – The theory of Human Motivation, there is
a limelight now in the modern era, which foresees adding “Technology” in the list of
common NEEDS for common man! The buzz word is no more a distant dream or
possession. It has to be within you or with you to connect yourself to the
world or even to your neighbor (sitting beside you) – every time! The avatars
of “technology” has widened its horizons from being a simple walkie talkie to a
mind boggling IPhone5 (releasing this month).
Being
tech savvy is an honor in its own where anyone who “speaks” to his Galaxy or “listens”
to his iPod is considered a geek. Any information is just a click away and “Google” has become everyone’s
best buddy. There were times when a whole middle class family lived in a single
room and now it’s most common to see that most of the family shares a single
domain – namely the “Facebook”. Meeting
friends and talking to them has become wireless and virtual as video chat rooms
have taken over the royal reality.
Blessed
with the techie makes, there is always a tinge of sensitivity thought in
everyone – Are we lonely? The answer is a big YES. Life needs a point of
intersection where work style and social life has to coincide. A member of
social networking site does not ideally make one a social person. Mere
acceptances of an invite for a marriage or house warming from your close buddy
cannot bring the real joy and satisfaction than when you are present there
physically. A reality check is the need of the hour wherein each individual has
to analyze his own self and think of where he is and what he wants to be and
devote his time equally in the things he perceives to bring him ecstasy.
Becoming
the best in everything is an aspiration. Unlocking your system with the
appropriate password every time gives the refreshing space for the window of
happiness and excellence in thoughts. Being technical in job is a credential
but being mechanical in life is a bane in itself. Let’s try to live life the
way it has to be and start to socialize – in a real way!
